About us

Arise and Shine Care Center is a Community Based Organization based in Muhoroni Sub County, Kisumu County in Kenya with its Reg. No: DSD/42/242/02/5184. The establishment of the organization was started after series of research studies about the needs of women and youths were conducted by Doreen Anyiri and her two friends. The study revealed that, there is a serious lack of information among women and youths which puts them to the state of voiceless and hopeless in the community, hence the creation of the organization to provide them with vital information that can make them have voice and restore the lost hope in their lives, by pulling them together and engage them in various activities which will enable them to ARISE from the state of hopelessness, be informed and SHINE in the community ,hence the name ARISE AND SHINE

Mission

To develop and implement sustainable intervention that empower Vulnerable Women and youths at large to make healthy decisions and to become both socially and economically independent.

Vision

To be an organization with instrumental programs aimed at achieving an empowered Vulnerable women and youths with avenues for sustainable development.

Objectives

1. To empower women, youths and persons with disabilities economically.
2. To improve the quality of life and poverty alleviation among women and youths.
3. To Advocate and create awareness on Gender Based Violence, HIV/AIDS, Drug and Substance Abuse and child protection.
4. To manage and conserve environment.
5. To mobilize resources and support communities’ social amenities where there is need.
